The organizers and sponsors of Great Northwest Day at the Capitol^SM recognize that members of the working news media may find value in attending parts of Great Northwest Day at the Capitol^SM and interviewing participants or our invited guests. It is our intention to accommodate the legitimate news interests of any member of the recognized media.

We request, whenever possible, that members of the working news media provide advance notice of their interest in attending all or a part of the event:

• A minimum of 24 hours notice (contact Lisa Luke, 660-582-1050) will allow organizers to ensure that working media are given access as requested. In addition, we ask that each member of the working media have their press credentials displayed while attending the event.
• A minimum of 72 hours notice (contact Lisa Luke, 660-582-1050) will allow organizers to include working media in the head count and seating for one or more of the meals. Working media will be billed a prorated $17 per meal reservation.

The full event cost charged to participants is $65, including all meals and receptions during the two days. Media members who are attending partly or primarily as representatives of their northwest Missouri communities likely will benefit from paying the $65 fee rather than the per-meal charges.

We also ask that media members respect that this event is focused on interactions between the participants and our invited guests. Media members are asked to take care not to allow their news-gathering efforts (film stand-ups etc.) to detract from or disrupt the scheduled activities. We will make every reasonable effort to assist you in this regard.
