Leadership Northwest
MissouriSM is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
Participants will be selected based on their desire to become a more effective leader in the region.
Leadership Northwest MissouriSM recognizes the strength of diversity and will strive for a diverse
class composition. Our region is defined as the following counties: Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan,
Caldwell, Carroll, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Livingston, Mercer,
Nodaway, and Worth. Each county will be guaranteed one class spot. If a qualified application is
not received from a county, the unused space will be available to anyone within the
region. Applicants will be selected based on the county in which they reside or work. The Selection
Committee reserves the right to review and select applicants from outside the defined region.

TUITION
Tuition is
$650, which includes lodging on January 27th, all session meals, a participant
notebook, and Leadership Challenge materials.
Tuition assistance of 50% may be available. Contact Lisa
Luke, LNW Program Coordinator, at 660-582-1050 for more information on scholarships and sponsorships.
Completed applications must be delivered or postmarked by
October 31, 2009 to: LNW, P.O. Box 92, Cameron, MO 64429. The Selection Committee will then review applications and select class members. Full payment is due before January
8, 2010.

TIME COMMITMENT AND CLASS MEETING DATES
Classes will meet monthly beginning with a two-day retreat in St. Joseph on January
27 and 28. They will continue at locations throughout the region on February
18th, March 18th, April 22nd, May 20th, and June 3rd. Graduation will be the evening of June
24th, to be followed by an
optional project retreat on July 8th.
Classes begin at 9 a.m. and will adjourn by 4 p.m. Also, there will be required evening activities on January
27th.
Attendance at all sessions is required!*
You are expected to attend every session. However, you will be allowed to be absent from one session with prior approval and permission of the
Program Coordinator. An absence is missing a whole session or any part thereof. If you miss more than the one approved absence; you will need to make up the applicable session(s) the following year in order to graduate.
*New attendance policy effective with Class of 2005.
